Introduction:
Higher education institutions worldwide have allocated substantial resources to facilitate the development of open education for diverse populations. Major research effort has focused on the development of more effective learning systems and platforms for the purpose of open access education; consequently, attention to the content of learning materials and to media is needed to ensure the quality of online education.
However, due to the “openness” nature of such online educational resources, scholars, policy makers, educators, and other stakeholders have different ideas on the assessment of those online resources. This talk will focus on the discussion of new research approaches and an assessment matrix.
